#NAW2023 – Meet Our Apprentice Neave Oseghae

6 February 2023

It’s National Apprenticeship Week, and we’re celebrating some of the brilliant people currently undertaking apprenticeships with us.

Let us introduce you to Neave Oseghae who works in the sales and marketing team at Workwell Outsourcing.

Neave lives in Leeds with her parents and four sisters.  She joined us in July last year to undertake a Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship which she is due to complete in June this year. Outside work, Neave enjoys going shopping and out for meals with her boyfriend Brandon, watching her sisters’ football matches, crime documentaries, and travelling.

Why did you choose the Apprenticeship route?

I chose to start an Apprenticeship after I had attended a sixth-form college for six months, I decided that college wasn’t the right place for me and that I wanted to work whilst also studying.

What does it involve?

My Apprenticeship involves working whilst also learning, I complete portfolio work towards my qualification, and I also attend webinars every month as part of my training. I have a learning coach who I have 1-1 meetings with once a month, and I can contact her at any time should I need any help or advice.

What do you like about it?

I enjoy working in the sales and marketing team, I help with the on-boarding process which I really like because I learnt lots of interesting and new things on how we verify and sign new clients. I also learn how we advertise our services and what we do as part of my sales role.

Are there any downsides?

There are no downsides to an Apprenticeship, I am earning whilst I am learning- what more could I want?

What advice would you give to others considering an Apprenticeship?

My advice I would give to others considering an Apprenticeship is research and find out as much as possible about the Apprenticeship you are thinking of doing first and feel convinced you are going to enjoy it. Another piece of advice I would give is that if you are considering completing an Apprenticeship then you will be able to pick from a range of opportunities.

What support have you received from Workwell for your Apprenticeship?

I have received lots of support from my colleagues at Workwell while I have been completing my Apprenticeship, I have been trained on different processes and shown how to on-board clients. If I ever need help with my studies, then my colleagues are always happy to give me advice and support me.
