We are pleased to announce the appointment of Kate Bates as Chief People and Culture Officer.

Kate’s enthusiasm and passion for working with people are evident as she leads our group people strategy. She brings a collaborative operational approach to the organisation to deliver the best employee and customer experiences.

Arriving at Workwell in January, Kate believes that “engaged talent within an organisation, delivers the best customer experience, setting the company apart from their competitors.”

She has worked in a variety of companies including John Lewis, DHL Express and NHS Professionals, all market-leading organisations in their industry. Throughout her career, she has always recognised the importance of motivated employees and putting customers at the heart of a business. Kate thrived in environments that were values-led, where she shared their ethos, and that had a family feel.

Her career attests to her ability to establish a clear people vision and she has proven her ability to achieve long-lasting business change. She also demystifies the role of human resources in a business: “I believe HR is about strategic partnering, people and culture, supporting the business to grow and creating the best employee experiences.”

During her downtime, Kate enjoys spending time in the great outdoors exploring and making memories with her husband and two daughters. She is a welcome addition to the Workwell team.
